Ashcombe is special. It spans 25 acres of gardens, hedge mazes, woodland trails, and an enchanting lavender labyrinth. Its famous hedge maze, planted with over a thousand cypress trees, now towers more than three metres high and two metres thick, forming paths that invite discovery and quiet wonder. The lavender labyrinth is planted to bloom all year round—more than 3,000 lavender plants of over forty varieties, whispering with soft colour and scent.

Over time, Ashcombe’s gardens have grown in beauty and reputation under careful stewardship. The Bortoli family, acting as maze keepers, have cultivated sections such as display gardens, woodland expanses, a circular rose maze, and sculpted landscapes. All of this makes the property more than just a garden—it’s a place of stories and hidden corners, a characterful setting that begs for celebrations held in its embrace.
